First of all, you need to update your theme and MANDATORY! update all plugins that come bundled with the theme.
We have instructions on how to do this. Please be careful.
Make sure to check the section Appearance -> Install plugins
After the “Portfolio Kit” plugin becomes active, you will be taken to the page with the main options of this plugin. There are very few of them.
“Design settings” – customization of the appearance of categories/tags of your portfolio, as well as turning on and off of the plugin components. Such as Share buttons, navigation, etc
All options are the same as in the theme.
“Primary portfolio page” – page selection for a correct navigation. This value will be used on single portfolios and in breadcrumbs.
By means of this option, you will have to transfer all the existing portfolio items to this new plugin from the Unyson plugin.
After that, all portfolio items and settings will be transferred from the Unyson plugin to the Portfolio Kit plugin.
If everything went right, nothing should change for you (All paths, names, content, options, metabox settings should remain the same.)
Along with the plugin, there will be added new blocks for Elementor and Gutenberg.
The final step is to edit the Portfolio Main Page.
First, you need to change the page template to Default
After that you can either add the Gutenberg block:
Or use an Elementor Widget:
Choose what is more preferable in your specific case.
